Tour from Marrakech to Dades Gorges & Camel Trekking in Desert

4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Dades Gorges & Camel Trekking in Desert

Description :

Morocco Nomad Safari organizes a 4-Day Sahara Desert Tour From Marrakech. We, therefore, recommend a minimum of 4 days for a Desert Tour from Marrakech to Erg Chebbi to break the journey each way and have time to see the sites along the route. The 4 and 5 Days Sahara Desert Tour to Erg Chebbi dunes and back to Marrakech are highly recommended simply because there are so many things to see and do besides camel trekking and a night stay in a deep Sahara desert camp. Camel trekking in Morocco is a great way to sample how the locals do it and soak up the vast beauty of the desert as you sway through the sands. If you’ve never sampled a camel ride before, this is a must-try experience!

Itinerary :

Day 1:

Marrakesh – Tizi-n-Tichka – Ksar Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura Valley – Dades Gorge

High Atlas once more takes the most adventurous passengers through the pass of Tizi n’Tichka (2260m), to many opportunities of the region. From the beginning, the true star of Morocco will appear in front of us. The Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, UNESCO World Heritage site. After lunch, another stop will be in Skoura valley, passing through Ouarzazate city. Besides pure nature, Skoura Valley is a place of many kasbahs, from which we will see the Kasbah of Amredhyle. Pretty, reddish building, from the big family that is settled here. As we catch the familiar smell of roses, it will lead us straight to Kelaa Mgouna! At the moment when the night is already falling, Boulmalne town and Dades valley will compete for your attention. One with two-toned, like sculptures, and buildings; the other one with waving trees.

Day 2:

Dades – Tinghir – Todra Gorge – Tinjdad – Touroug – Erfoud – Merzouga

Spending nights in Dades Valley, you will be fresh and probably curious to see bold Todra Canyon and Tinghir. You will be able to have a short stroll, and admire a little bit, before lunch in the shadows of Tinjdad palm groves. Then, impatiently, the city Erfoud will call for us! You will definitely like its fossil and marble workshops. And most of all, you will be amazed when you see how is this town similar to Mars! Interesting geology… Among the others, it was also a filming location many times. Leaving impressive Erfoud, even more, impressive Erg Chebbi will pour its sand under our feet. This is the moment of experiencing some real camel trekking! So, before returning to dinner and to nomad camp, you will have enough time to roam around and chase the real gold of Morocco. The gold of sand and sun.

Day 3:

Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazzarine – Nkoub – Draa Valley – Agdz – Ouarzazate

If you liked afternoon camel trekking, you will absolutely love it in the morning! There are many special moments, that still wait to be collected before breakfast. Rissani, the old capital, and commercial center will give us pieces of its lifestyle as we pass by, Tafilalet. And after big cities, its palm trees will be a really pleasant view. Lunch will wait for us in Alnif, and then the route will continue to the Draa Valley. On our way, Tazzarine town will reveal its modest fairness, through the dust of the big dessert. Next, N’Kob oases will freshen up some air and lead us to the little homes of Berber culture. They can remain hidden if you don’t pay attention so, be highly awake at Anti-Atlas mountains. At 1660m, there is a passing point, and resting zone, under the name of Agdz village. Welcoming and sending away visitors and merchants, will show us our next stop Ouarzazate. The day will end with dinner and oversleeping in a hotel.

Day 4:

Ouarzazate – Fint Oasis – Tifoultoute Kasbah – Marrakech

After breakfast, quick departure to Oasis de Fint. Always glittering from rocks it makes a good shot for photographing. In the very heart of this piece of fertile land, you can see four small villages, living their peaceful lives. Lunch will be eaten at this beautiful place, and then we will return to Marrakech..
