Morocco 3 Days Merzouga Desert Tour from Ouarzazate to Fes. With this tour, you will visit many wonderful places in a short period of time. The tour begins by exploring the city of Ouarzazate, where you will visit the Taourirt Kasbah, an ancient mud castle. You can also visit the filming locations of many movies. We then drive to visit Dades Valley and Todra Gorge. Adjacent to the Merzouga Sahara Desert. Here you can ride camels, experience magical sunsets and sunrises, and spend the night in a desert camp. Explore the Sahara Desert from Merzouga by 4×4 vehicle. You will also visit the traditional Rissani market and the fossil city of Erfoud. Then visit the Moroccan Swiss Ifrane and the cedar forest where the Barbary macaques live. Finally, the tour ends in Fes.

Itinerary :

Day 1:

Ouarzazate – Skoura - Rose valley – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud -Merzouga Sahara

We will pick you up from your accommodation or Ouarzazate airport early in the morning. Then we explore the city of Ouarzazate. Visit the Atlas Studios where famous movies were filmed and also visit the Taourirt Kasbah. Then head southeast to visit the palm-lined Amridil Kasbah in Skoura. Then there's Rosenthal. The Rose Festival is held every May and locals offer their rose products, from perfume, rose water, and rose oil to cosmetics. We then drove through the Dades Gorge, we stopped at a point overlooking the valley to enjoy the stunning view of the Dades Gorge. We then continue on to the Todra Gorge, where the course of the Todra River carves a canyon between the mountains - a tall red canyon with cliffs. Free time for lunch. Feel free to hike in the canyon and enjoy the beautiful scenery. In the afternoon we travel from Merzouga to the Sahara desert. Here you can ride a camel across the desert. You'll stop high on the sand dunes for a magical sunset. Then head to a luxury desert camp where you can dance to the music of Berber drums while dancing around a campfire under an open starry sky. Dinner and overnight in camp.

Day 2:

Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi

You have to get up early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful sunrise in the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then return to Merzouga by camel, where your driver will be waiting for you. We spend the day exploring the Merzouga region. There are many incredible attractions in the area, from sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, and fossil sites to wonderful oases. These are ideal places for numerous outdoor activities. First, we start our tour in Merzouga, driving off-road to visit an old eyeliner mine. We then visit nomads in their hand-woven tents. Learn about their way of life while drinking Berber tea. Our next destination is the village of Khamlia, where you will enjoy a performance of Gnaoua music and dance. Its inhabitants come from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch at the restaurant. Afterward, we went for a walk among the palm groves. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3:

Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – cedars forest – Ifrane – Fes

On the last day of your trip. You wake up early in the morning and gaze at the beautiful sunrise in the desert. Enjoy breakfast at your leisure before returning to Merzouga by camel, where your driver will be waiting for you. Then we leave the desert to visit the city of Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains an important trading center for the region, with a large open-air market on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After a stroll through the Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud to visit one of the petrified marble workshops. Afterward, we drive along the Zizi River, stopping to enjoy the panoramic view of the Zizi Valley. Free time for lunch in Midget. We then continue to the cedar forest where the Barbary macaques live. Feel free to feed them as you go hiking in the forest. Afterward, we visit Ifrane, famous for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style houses - no wonder it's called the Switzerland of Morocco.
